Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) is a non-invasive natural treatment that effectively addresses the many symptoms caused by allergies and senitivities.
Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) offers a unique and highly effective natural approach in treating the many symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities. AAT is a precision-based therapy that treats the organ systems involved in an overreaction. AAT does not treat the immune system; instead, the therapy focuses on inappropriate reactions to a harmless substance in relation to the organs systems to produce rapid, long-term results for the relief of associated symptoms. AAT merges 21st century science with (3,000-year-old traditional acupuncture) (modern chiropractic) principles in offering an effective alternative in the treatment of symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities.
- Non-invasive
- No needles
- No drugs
- No herbal remedies

UNDERSTANDING ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES
Allergies and sensitivities are caused by an inappropriate reaction to harmless substances.
The word “allergy” comes from the Greek allos, meaning “other”. It was first used in 1906 to refer to an "altered reaction" in the body's immune system.
A “true allergy” is a reaction triggered by the immune system, however there are a vast number of symptoms or conditions caused by sensitivities that may or may not involve the immune system. With reactions involving food, a large percentage of the population believe they have allergies, yet fewer than 2% actually have true allergies. In fact, many suffer from undiagnosed food sensitivities or intolerances. The majority of patients who seek the AAT treatment do not have true allergies; their symptoms are likely to be caused by sensitivities with no immune involvement. Since there are few options for the treatment of sensitivities, other than avoidance, AAT provides a highly effective alternative. Symptoms caused by true allergies, however, also respond well to the treatment as the organs systems involved in the reaction are also addressed.
The use of the word "allergy" has become a generic term used by the public to describe allergies, sensitivities and intolerances. The distinction of a true allergy based on circulating immunoglobulins is generally unknown by the general public. Therefore, the term "allergy" is now understood as a term for any negative reaction from exposure to a benign or harmful substance.
Conventional medical treatment and recommendations include: avoidance of the allergen, medications to reduce the symptoms of the allergic reaction or injections to desensitize the patient to the allergen. The medical classification of a "true allergy" requires an IgE-mediated response. However, there are also non-IgE-immune sensitivities as well as involvement with immunoglobulins IgA, IgG or IgG4.
WHAT IS AAT (Advanced Allergy Therapeutics)?
The Advanced Allergy Therapeutics used in Stop the Clock Naturopathic Clinic (Mississauga, Oakville, Etobicoke, West Toronto) is a clinically proven natural treatment that is highly effective in relieving the many symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities. It is a therapeutic approach that was developed from over 16 years of clinical research. The AAT treatment does not rely on the use of medications, herbal remedies or supplements. The treatment is safe, painless and available to all ages including infants.
HOW AAT WORKS
Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) works directly with the relationship between the major organ systems and inappropriate reactions to harmless substances. While the immune system is responsible for initiating an immune reaction in the case of true allergies, it is the health and state of the organ systems that often determines the type of symptoms that may arise. With both sensitivities and allergies, symptoms typically stem from the organ system affected. For example, one patient may have a reaction to soybean by getting rashes while another patient may react with sinus congestion, heartburn or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The symptoms in each of these cases represent a different organ system involved. By treating the organ system(s) involved in a reaction, the body is able to respond more appropriately.
During treatment, gentle pressure is used on points that correspond with the organ systems involved in a reaction. The degree of stress on the organ systems caused by an allergen or offending agent, is proportional to the degree of the negative reaction. While the stimulation is applied, a subtle representation of the offending substance is introduced to the surface of the skin. The stimulation reduces the stress on the effected organ system, allowing for a more appropriate response.
Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) treats the symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities by reducing the biological stress caused by the offending substance. Gentle pressure is used to stimulate points on the back, which correspond with the major organ systems. According to traditional acupuncture theory, this stimulation relaxes the body naturally and temporarily strengthens each of the major organ systems. During treatment, a subtle representation of the substance is introduced to the surface of the skin. Acupressure stimulation is then applied to reduce the stress load caused by the substance. The body associates the enhanced state with the substance, allowing for a more appropriate response.
All holistic fields of medicine are aligned in the approach to treat the whole body. They share the understanding that health conditions may develop as a result of interference in proper functioning caused by various forms of stress or other factors. Reducing the stress or interference allows for optimal health. When the specific organ system is supported and stress is reduced, the whole body is able to respond more appropriately.
AAT does not diagnose allergies, sensitivities or intolerances.
AAT does not test for allergies or sensitivities. The AAT system assesses what may be causing a stress to the body.
AAT does not cure allergies. The treatment is highly effective in providing long-term relief from symptoms associated with allergies or sensitivities.
AAT does not treat cases of anaphylaxis or life threatening symptoms. Strict avoidance is always advised in these cases.
SYMPTOMS TREATED
A sensitivity or inappropriate allergic-type reaction may cause symptoms from any organ system in the body. Some systems are prone to reacting to certain families of allergies or substances, such as the respiratory system reacting to pollen. However, a substance may affect any organ system, which could cause a multitude of symptoms varying from case to case. For example, a reaction to wheat may cause hives in one person, digestive issues in another, fatigue, wheezing or Acid Reflux all in different patients. AAT addresses the specific organ systems affected by the allergen or offending substance.
An apple, normally recognized by the immune system as food, may very likely be flagged as an enemy if it is covered in pesticide. It is not just the concept of an apple that is flagged. The immune system is much more specific than that. You chew the apple in your mouth where it is mixed with digestive enzymes. It is then swallowed and broken down further in the stomach by acids. It becomes an assemblage of various chemical groups and molecules that are being absorbed and passed around through various organs. The process is mediated by hormones and other enzymes. It cannot be predicted at what point the immune system will decide to act. The pesticide component that initiates the response may also cause an accompanying apple component or digestive enzyme, acid or hormone to be flagged, guilty by association (a sensitivity is born). Because the immune system flags have been set somewhere in your body, you may then, in the future, experience an allergic/sensitivity response even if you eat a clean apple. Your immune system may also recognize the acids, enzymes or hormones involved as enemies and attempt to inactivate your own body substances that are vital to life without the need for the presence of the apple. We have encountered many such cases of erroneous response at Stop the Clock Naturopathic Clinic (Mississauga, Etobicoke, West Toronto), including the inability to swallow apples.
Stop the Clock Naturopathic Clinic (serving Mississauga, Oakville, Etobicoke, West Toronto) is proud to offer this exciting AAT alternative treatment.

Difficulty becoming pregnant?
Are you experiencing difficulty becoming pregnant?
Semen (sperm) allergy is a rare but often-misdiagnosed condition that can masquerade as a common yeast infection or herpes infection. Not surprisingly, the associated pain, redness, burning and swelling can wreak havoc on some relationships, especially if the woman in the couple is trying to become pregnant.
Could you be allergic to your husband's sperm? Crazy as it sounds, between 20,000 and 40,000 women in the US suffer allergic reactions to their spouse's seminal fluid says Dr Andrew Goldstein of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Within half an hour or so after unprotected intercourse, an allergic woman may, in addition to not becoming pregnant, develop hives, swollen eyes, diarrhea and even breathing difficulties, says Dr David Resnick, director of allergy at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia.
Though the consequences can be devastating for a woman trying to become pregnant, it's a treatable condition.
What in semen are people allergic to? People are allergic to proteins in semen.
It may be that your immune system has mistakenly marked vital substances such as sperm or hormones required to achieve pregnancy as the enemy. At Stop the Clock Naturopathic Clinic, we have had a very good year assisting couples who want babies, to achieve their goal.

Mold (mould) Allergies and sensitivitites
Mold (mould) is an organism that occurs almost everywhere, both outdoors and indoors. It is a type of fungus that works to break down dead material and return nutrients to the environment. Mold (mould) grows by digesting plant or animal matter, such as leaves, wood, paper, dirt, and food and spreads by releasing tiny, lightweight spores that travel through the air. Mold (mould) grows quickly in moist dark spaces, such as basements, garbage cans and piles of rotting leaves.
On food, mold (mould) is often visible on the food's surface such as the fuzzy green spots that appear on bread. However, molds (moulds) also have branches and roots known as hyphae. As mold (mould) grows, the roots can penetrate deep inside the food, where they cannot be seen.
Common food sources of mold (mould) include:
- Cheese
- Mushrooms
- Vinegar and foods containing vinegar, such as salad dressing, catsup, and pickles
- Sour cream, sour milk, and buttermilk
- Meat or fish more than 24 hours old
- Breads and other food made with yeast
- Sauerkraut
- Pickled and smoked meats and fish
- Dried fruits such as dates, prunes, figs, and raisins
- Soy sauce
- Hot dogs, sausages
- Canned juices
All of us are exposed to some mold (mould) every day with no ill effects. We may breathe in mold (mould) spores that are present in the air or eat foods in which mold (mould) has begun to grow. People with mold (mould) allergies or sensitivities, however, may have a reaction if exposed to too much of the fungus.
Who Is Susceptible to Mold (Mould) Allergy?
Mold (mould) allergies or sensitivities can occur in people of almost any age. However, Infants, toddlers, children, the elderly, those with compromised immune systems, and people with existing respiratory conditions such as allergies or asthma tend to have a higher risk of experiencing an allergic reaction to mold (mould). Mold allergy symptoms can vary from person to person.
Symptoms of Mold (mould) Allergies
Symptoms of mold (mould) allergies or sensitivities include:
- Sneezing, with runny or clogged nose
- Dry, hacking cough
- Eye problems such as itchy eyes, burning, watery, blurred vision, inflammation of the eye lids and dark circles around the eyes
- Itchy nose and throat, sore throat
- Asthma and other respiratory problems with wheezing and difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Hypersensitivity to the environment
- Rash or hives.
List of Indoor and Outdoor Molds (Moulds)
The most common indoor molds (moulds) are Cladosporium mold, Penicillium, Alternaria mold, Aspergillus mold and Mucor mold. Other common molds (moulds) include Helminthosporium, Epicoccum, Rhizopus, and Aureobasidium (Pullularia).
Other molds (moulds) can be found outside, especially where water has been left to stagnate for a long time. These molds (moulds) which include Fusarium, Trichoderma, and Stachybotrys, can be very toxic. The Stachybotrys mold (mould) can grow on water soaked building materials with high cellulose content (wood, paper, and cotton products for example).
Where Do Molds Grow?
Indoors mold (mould) is most likely to grow in poorly ventilated and damp places. The most common places that mold (mould) grows inside the home include:
Bathrooms (especially inside showers)
- Closets
- Basements
- Refrigerator drip trays
- Cat litter boxes
Other places where mold (mould) might form and grow are; house plants, places used to store fresh food, air conditioners, humidifiers, garbage cans, foam and rubber pillows, upholstered pieces of furniture and mattresses.
Other items that are favourable for mold (mould) growth include: paper and products made of paper, cardboard, ceiling tiles, wood, wood products, dust, paints, wallpaper, insulation materials, dry wall, carpet and fabric.
Causes of Mold (mould) Allergies
Mold (mould) allergies are caused by the microscopic spores from molds. When inhaled, these microscopic fungal spores or, sometimes, fragments of fungi may cause allergic rhinitis. Mold spores are very easily carried in to the air and thus, mold (mould) can be found almost anywhere. Because these airbourne mold spores are so tiny, they are able to make their way through protective mechanisms in the nose and in to a person's respiratory tract and cause an allergic reaction.
There are thousands of types of molds and yeast (the two groups of plants in the fungus family). Yeasts are single cells that divide to form clusters. Molds consist of many cells that grow as branching threads called hyphae. Although both groups can probably cause allergic reactions, only a small number of molds are widely recognized offenders.
Why are you affected by mold (mould)?
Our immune system processes thousands of signals daily, deciding which incoming materials are friend or foe. It also makes mistakes in this process. The development of an allergy or sensitivity to mold, which is abundant in the air all the time, is particularly troublesome because it can makes us feel like we are under constant attack. Fatigue, malaise, nasal or respiratory congestion, headache, are only a few symptoms of an allergy to mold.
An allergy or sensitivity is a mistake in the interpretation of substance by our immune system. This mistake makes us perceive a harmless substance as harmful and we develop a symptom, such as sneezing, post nasal drip, as an attempt to eliminate the offending substance. But we cannot eliminate it since we are constantly surrounded by it. Thus, we develop a chronic condition.
Mold (mould) is only one of many allergens that affect us daily. However, elimination of a mold (mould) allergy or sensitivity makes a big difference in the overall sense of well being since many symptoms are removed.
How do I get rid of my allergy or sensitivity?
